Welcome to discombobulated.info, an imprint of e-space. We are a gallery/journal/zine for writers, designers, artists, and others who work with digital media to create works that span the gap between literary works including poetry and the arts; we sometimes publish documentation for ephemeral work and site installations. We like edgy work, but especially work that involves fragmentation, temporality, destruction, and other ways of shifting the writer’s or artist’s work to something different, including both ekphrastic poetry but also, a rarer form, ekphrastic art that refers back to print artifacts or other modes such as music. The more varied the connections, the better for us.
We are open to a wide variety of subjects, as well, including all areas of human endeavor: representations and collaborations with the sciences, the arts, philosophy, and so on. This is not a place, however, for academic papers. We specialize in short length works. See our call for more details.
While we wish to publish works that engage such tough subjects as disabilities of all kinds, racism, classism, sexism, homo- and transphobia, and homelessness, all works appearing on these pages must demonstrate a compassion towards all marginalized folks of every kind.
If you would like to submit proposals, we will soon be announcing our submissions system. Currently submissions are by e-mail to submission at discombobulated dot info though (hopefully) soon we will upgrade to a formal submission system.
